Before you instruct a professional
The engagement should identify the contracting organisation, responsible professional, scope and applicable complaints procedure. Where professional authorisation is required, the relevant register and capacity should be specified.
Regulated work
The required authorisation depends on the activity and jurisdiction. Immigration advice must be provided by a properly authorised adviser. Reserved legal work must be allocated to a professional entitled to carry it out.
