A focused review before confirmation
A confirmation statement is a recurring company task, but the information behind it may have changed since the previous filing. Yudey helps organise the relevant checks so that the statement is approached with an agreed record set and a clear allocation of responsibility. Tell us your company number, the date you are working towards and whether any recent changes remain unresolved.
The initial scope distinguishes checking information, preparing the statement and making an agreed submission. These are related stages, but they should not be treated as interchangeable. We identify who approves the particulars, who uses the filing route and who will retain evidence. If another accountant or company administrator is involved, the handover should avoid duplicated or conflicting instructions.
Compare the details with supporting records
The agreed review can compare the relevant company information with the records you provide and identify discrepancies for resolution. We ask about recent changes in directors, addresses, shareholders or control that could affect preparation. Where the source information is incomplete, the output records the gap and the decision needed instead of presenting an unchecked assumption as a verified fact.
Companies House guidance explains what must be reviewed for the statement and which changes require a separate update. [1] We use that distinction to organise the task list. A confirmation statement should not be relied on as a catch-all method for correcting every aspect of the register. The proposed work identifies any additional filing support required and whether it is included in the quotation.
Deal with changes and verification dependencies
A company that has recently admitted a shareholder or changed a director may need more preparation than one with stable information. We ask for the dates and supporting records needed to understand the sequence. If an ownership change has not been properly documented internally, that issue may require a separate corporate review before someone confirms the resulting public information.
Identity verification and personal-code requirements must be checked against the person's role and the company's position. We establish the applicable step without asking you to paste credentials or codes into the initial enquiry form. Where an authorised provider or specific filing capability is needed, the proposed route and responsibility are confirmed. We do not describe an information review as an identity verification service.
Keep the filing date visible
We consider the statement date and filing timetable as part of scoping, alongside any related outstanding action. If your date is close or has passed, include it in the first enquiry. A short lead time may limit what can responsibly be checked, particularly if information is missing or an earlier submission has been rejected. We explain the available scope after assessing those facts.
Sending a request does not mean that the work has been accepted or that someone is monitoring the deadline for you. The engagement sets out responsibility for timing and approvals. Where a third party needs to provide information, the action list identifies that dependency. A preferred submission date remains subject to complete information, required authorisation and the availability of the relevant official service.
Understand the completed handover
The handover can include a summary of the reviewed particulars, resolved and outstanding discrepancies, an approved preparation record and evidence of any submission included in the scope. We distinguish a prepared document from a submission receipt and from any subsequent acceptance or query. This gives the company a usable record of what happened rather than a vague assurance that the annual task was handled.
A confirmation statement is different from annual accounts or a company tax return. The service does not automatically prepare those documents or review the company's wider financial position. If your initial enquiry reveals that several obligations need coordinating, we can identify an additional compliance planning scope. That wider work is separately defined so you know which deadlines and records are covered.
Request a clear quotation
Fees depend on the information's condition, the number of unresolved changes and whether submission or separate correction work is requested. The written proposal states the professional fee in pounds sterling, applicable VAT and any official charges. It also explains the included response to routine queries and when a new issue would require further instructions. There is no assumed all-inclusive annual service.
Start with the company number, relevant statement date, recent changes and the name of any existing adviser handling filings. A brief description is enough to assess the next step; detailed records can follow through an agreed channel. We will clarify the deliverables and responsibilities before you decide whether to proceed with the proposed support.
